Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Professional Organizer charge?

Fees may be based on an hourly, daily or project rate. Where you live, the kind of organizing service(s) you need and the amount of experience the Organizer has are all factors that affect a Professional Organizer's fee. Each Professional Organizer sets her/his own fees.

Compare the valuable time and stress your disorganization costs you now searching for lost and misplaced items, not completing tasks on time, being late, etc. versus the time you'd save and the peace of mind you'd have if you were organized. If you work, multiply those unproductive hours by your hourly rate. This is a tangible way to calculate what your disorganization may be costing you. If you take time to organize, you save time, money and avoid stress in the long run. It's no different than doing maintenance on a car. If you want it to work well, you need to maintain it.

Ultimately, you determine what you will spend on getting organized because you decide how much help you want. Depending on what works for you, you may feel you just need direction and a plan you can implement on your own or you may want someone to come in and actually do the hands-on work. While each organizer determines her/his own fee, your organizer should be willing to provide whatever level of service you find most helpful.
